I am directed by His Excellency the Governor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter No. 60 of the 24th. ultimo, stating that you can move the Chinese Maritime Customs Offices out of Hongkong forthwith and that you will withdrew completely as soon as residences are ready on the mainland and a Chinese Bank established there by the Hoppo.
